In an eight period block schedule, all magnet students at Manual, including those in J&C, take two courses per year in their magnet program. The other six courses are core content courses and electives from all Manual/YPAS departments. J&C students are integrated into their non-magnet courses with students from MST, HSU, VA, and YPAS. Non-J&C magnet students may sometimes enroll in J&C classes by taking prerequisite courses or earning special teacher approval, but some courses are exclusively reserved for J&C magnet students due to limitations with space and equipment.
